OPEN CHURCH
Throughout June, July and August 2026 we will be opening Pear Tree Church each Wednesday afternoon from
2.00 to 4.00pm starting on June 3rd.
Please come and visit the Church if you would like to learn some local history about the Church, to pop in for a chat and a cup of tea or just to sit quietly. Everyone is welcome.

Pear Tree Church are very grateful to the National Churches Trust and Wolfson Foundation for their grants towards the cost of repairs to the Lady Chapel ceiling.

St Mary-Over-The-Water: The Story of the Jesus Chapel

In September 1620 the Jesus Chapel was the first Church since the Reformation to be consecrated
using a new Anglican service specially written by Lancelot Andrewes, Bishop of Winchester.
This book tells the history of the Chapel and its Parish over the last 400 years.

at St Mark's Church, led by the Bishop of Southampton,
